From sibling bond to lifesaving beyond
Indian Land twins found nonprofit

It’s not often that two teenagers have the thoughts and ideas to found a nonprofit organization. It’s even more rare that the two teenagers that team up to do it are twins.
Sophie and Winston Walker are twins that attend Indian Land High School. Along with being outstanding students at ILHS, the Walker twins founded the “Make A Splash Foundation,” a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping underprivileged children learn how to swim. The twins realized the importance of swimming lessons for people of all ages and wanted to provide that service in a caring way.
